WHY IS SLEEP IMPORTANT FOR WELLNESS?

Sleep affects almost every tissue
in our body. It affects growth and
stress hormones, our immune system, appetite, breathing, blood pressure and cardiovascular health. Research shows  that lack of sleep can increase the risk for obesity, heart disease and infections.

We all know that diet and physical activity are essential to good health, but many are unaware that getting adequate sleep is equally important, if not more so. Sleep affects everything from energyand appetite to performance, mood, attention, memory, and decision making.
